Advanced Well Man Check with Cholesterol
The men's annual panel: general chemistry, blood count, thyroid, blood sugar, iron and prostate markers, with the full cholesterol breakdown added.
- Clinic
- 1 to 2 working days
- 35 markers measured

Free Testosterone Test
Free testosterone, the small unbound fraction of your testosterone that is available to the body.
- Home kit
- 2 to 3 working days
- 1 marker measured

Male Hormone Check
Six male hormone measurements including testosterone, the protein that binds it (SHBG) and the free androgen index calculated from both.
- Clinic
- 1 to 2 working days
- 6 markers measured

Men's Health Complete
Liver function, kidney function, cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides and a full blood count, plus testosterone and PSA (prostate specific antigen).
- Clinic
- 1 to 2 working days
- 8 tests included

PSA Prostate Check
Both forms of prostate specific antigen, total and free, plus the calculated ratio between them.
- Clinic

PSA Test
Total prostate specific antigen, the standard first blood marker for the prostate, from a finger-prick or clinic sample.
- Home kit
- 1 to 2 working days
- 1 marker measured

SHBG Test
Sex hormone binding globulin, the carrier protein that decides how much of your testosterone is actually available.
- Home kit
- 1 to 2 working days
- 1 marker measured

Stockholm3 Prostate Cancer Risk Test
A blood test that combines protein markers, genetic markers and clinical details in an algorithm to estimate the risk of clinically significant prostate cancer.
- Clinic
- 10+ working days

Stockholm3 Prostate Cancer Risk Test (reflex)
The same prostate risk algorithm as Stockholm3, but run only if a PSA measured on the same draw comes back above 1.5 ng/ml.
- Clinic

Testicular Cancer Marker Check
Three blood proteins that are sometimes raised in testicular conditions: LDH, alpha-fetoprotein and HCG.
- Clinic

Choosing a men's health test
Men are less likely to see a GP and more likely to leave a change unexplained. These panels cover the questions that come up most: energy, drive and mood, which points to testosterone and thyroid; urinary symptoms and family history, which points to the prostate; and the general chemistry that quietly tracks heart, liver and metabolic health over the years.
Prostate testing deserves a careful read. PSA is useful but imprecise in both directions, so every prostate page here says what the number can and cannot tell you, and the Stockholm3 test exists for men who want a better-informed decision about MRI or biopsy.
- Low energy or drive: testosterone, morning sampleThe Men's Hormone Check or Men's Health Complete. Book before 11am, fasted; testosterone falls through the day and a late sample can read low without meaning anything.
- PSA: understand the benefits and limitations firstA prostate marker is not a routine annual requirement based on age alone. Discuss personal risk, symptoms and the possible consequences of testing with a clinician before choosing a PSA-containing panel.
- Family history or a borderline PSA: Stockholm3Combines PSA with other proteins and a genetic score to estimate the risk of clinically significant cancer, for men aged 45 to 74.
- A lump or swelling: see a GP this weekTesticular markers support an examination and ultrasound; they never replace them.
Before you buy
Should I avoid anything before a PSA test?
Ejaculation and vigorous cycling for 48 hours, and wait six weeks after a urine infection or any prostate procedure. All of these can push PSA up temporarily.
What is a normal testosterone level?
The laboratory range is printed with your result and varies with age. Symptoms matter as much as the number, and a doctor never treats on one reading; a low result is normally repeated on another morning.
Can I do these at home?
The hormone checks come as finger-prick kits. The wide chemistry panels and prostate risk tests need a clinic draw, because those results are not reliable from a finger-prick sample.
Does a normal PSA mean I do not have prostate cancer?
No. Some cancers do not raise PSA. That is why urinary symptoms, family history and heritage are part of the conversation, and why Stockholm3 exists.
Every result is reviewed by a GMC-registered doctor before release. Read more about how it works.
